The performance of economic systems should be evaluated based on the input and output variables of the system. In other words, evaluating the quality of system performance, it is necessary to pay attention to its efficiency. To have an overall evaluation, performance must be done at different levels and goals. The present study uses data from the provinces of Iran in 1394-1398 and the two-stage data envelopment analysis method. This study evaluated and ranked the production, economic, distributional, economic welfare, and social welfare, the efficiency of Iranian provinces. Also by combining the five levels, calculated the overall efficiency of the provinces. The results of efficiency evaluation show that Alborz, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Qom, Kurdistan, Yazd, Markazi as efficient provinces. Also, for identified, the factors affecting the types of efficiency of the provinces using the Tobit regression model. The results show that the variable of the ratio of young population in each province has a positive relationship and the variables of the province's production share, the province's budget share, and also the amount of bank loans have a negative relationship with the overall efficiency of the provinces.
